What we collect
Account
To sign in, you use Google. We receive your Google account's basic profile (name, email, profile picture) and your unique Google user ID. We do not receive your Google password.
Conversations
Your messages in the chat are stored encrypted at rest and in transit. We use them to provide the service — to display them back to you, and to give the AI context for your current and future conversations. We do not sell, share, or use them to train any model.
Usage data
We collect anonymous usage data (e.g., which pages you visit, which features you use) via Google Analytics to understand how the product is used and improve it. You can opt out using a browser extension or by enabling your device's "Do Not Track" signal.
What we don't collect
- We don't read your conversations for any purpose other than showing them to you and providing the AI's responses.
- We don't use your conversations as training data for any model.
- We don't sell or rent your data to anyone, ever.
- We don't share your conversations with third parties, except as required by law (see below).
How we protect your data
- All data in transit is encrypted with TLS 1.2+.
- All data at rest is encrypted at the storage level.
- Access to your conversations is restricted to you, signed in.
- One-tap deletion: delete any conversation or your entire account, and it's permanently removed.
Deletion
You can delete any individual conversation, or your entire account, at any time. When you delete a conversation, it's removed from our active systems immediately and from our backups within 30 days. When you delete your account, all associated data is removed within the same window.
Children
akiind is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will notify you in the app and by email (if you've provided one). The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent change.
